Cultivating Highly Qualified Ideological and Political Teachers by Including Tea Culture in School Curriculum

  • Well-equipped competent teachers are essential for high-quality education. Being an integrated component of Chinese culture, tea drinking and ceremony embraces the thousand years of national tradition and intangible treasures. It is an invisible but indispensable carrier of culture behind the human development for the Chinese people. Hence, highly qualified educators deeply knowledgeable on tea culture can critically benefit the students and the essence of tea culture included in school curriculum can immensely aid the spiritual building and cultural identifying of the young citizens. To integrate the teaching into the education system, a teacher can pass on the ideological and political beliefs through the tasks of disseminating fundamental information, nurturing respectable mind, cultivating virtuous morality, and expanding horizon to plant the benevolent humanity, upright personal integrity, and broadened world view into the mind of the individuals in school. Thereby, productive and functional citizens could be developed to warrant a healthy and progressive nation for the years to come.
