On Hunan Mashed-tea Products with Perspective of Cultural Memory

  • Mashed-tea products are a unique food with a long history in China. It is particularly popular in Anhua, Taojiang, Taohuayuan, and some other localities in Hunan Province. From the perspective of cultural memory, this article discusses the evolution, preservation, and innovative recreation relating to the exceptional product of folklore. Furthermore, through systematic recounting the intriguing inheritance, the complex, open, inclusive culture surrounding the Hunan mashed-tea products was unveiled to facilitate future creation of new items that would carry forward the tradition with new horizons.
