Abstract
Polyphenolcontent in one bud with a leaf of autumn Tieguanyin tea plants during the firstgrowth period (45 d) affected by various meteorological factors in the producingareas in Anxi county was analyzed. The Pearson correlation, principal component, and partial least square regression analyses on the analytical data indicated thatthe total precipitation, maximum temperature, and average relative humidity inthe region were the major climatic conditions affecting the leaf chemistry. Thepolyphenol content in leaves correlated positively with the maximum temperatureand the total precipation, but negatively with the average relative humidity, towhich a tea bush was exposed.
