ICP-MS and ICP-AES for Mineral Analysis and Origin-tracing on Tea Products

  • Mineral contents in tea can be used as an index for tea quality determination as well as for food safety purpose. Since theminerals in teaare regional specific, their contentscould allowan accurate tracingfor the origin of a product. The highlyefficient and sensitiveICP-MS and ICP-AES formineral analysis could be an effect analytical tool applied for the origin-tracing on tea products. This paper describes the operating principle and current applications of the instruments.
