Abstract:
The successfully executed National Rural Revitalization Program provides an excellent guideline for the planning of joint economic and industrial development in Fujian and Taiwan. For instance, the flourishing tea industry on the mainland in recent years demonstrated the positive influence brought about by the general rural reconstruction and vitalization in the nation. Insofar as the cooperation across the Strait is concerned, valuable lessons can also be shared by both sides with respect of the technological advances experienced in various tea-producing areas on the mainland and the well-established leisure agriculture and culture tourism in Taiwan. By analyzing the status, this article focuses on the strength as well as the shortages experienced by the two parties to decipher the potentials for the tea industry in information exchange and cross-strait business development. Furthermore, by taking advantage of the successful implementation of the National Rural Revitalization Program, functional strategies may be formulated to achieve a fruitful industrial integration between Fujian and Taiwan in a short time.
