Abstract:
To stimulate innovation and further progress of the nation’s industry, the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has recently stipulated a general directive. It provides clear guidance to build new quality industries for the country. For the tea industry in Fujian, this article proposes a strategy to help usher in a new chapter in the existing plan that emphasizes tea culture, business, and science-tech simultaneously. It encompasses four approaches that intimately integrate technological and managerial innovations, tea and digitized economies, education/training and talent cultivation, and cultural activities and scientific pursuance in the development. Means to implement the proposed strategy are presented.
