Abstract:
To determine the height to hang the yellow sticky traps for efficient trapping the adult
Empoasca vitis(Göthe)at the tea plantations in different seasons, separate experiments were conducted in the spring, early summer, midsummer and autumn. Significant differences on the effect due to the hanging height in different season were found. The greatest number of insects trapped during the spring and autumn occurred when the traps were hung between 0.4 and 0.2 m down from the top of the tea bush, while in the early summer, between 0.2 m down from the top to 0.2 m above the top, and in the midsummer, between 0.4 and 0.6 m above the top.
