Abstract: This article summarizes the relationship between heterosis and the differences, differential expression, and expression regulation of the genes, as well as the epigenetics of teas. The current status on the applications of heterosis in plant breeding is presented. It aimed to provide an in-depth understanding of the genetic mechanisms of plant heterosis in order to promote the basic research and its applications for tea breeding.
