Abstract:
Major speciesof pests and their population dynamics at tea plantations in Taishan weresurveyed in the field. Through statistical analysis, 43 species encompassing 2classes, 7 orders, and 27 families were identified. The dominant pests included
Empoasca onukii,
Toxoptera aurantii,
Aleurocanthus spiniferus,
and
Lygus lucorum. The
E. onukii population peaked twice in a year, once in early June andanother in early August.
T. aurantii also showed two full incidence periods, one in early May and another in earlySeptember, while
L. lucorum only one appeared in May. Indifferent developmental stages,
A.spiniferus could be spotted throughout early April to early November.
